When I graduated from high school, I knew I wanted something different to what my hometown in Indonesia could offer. Driven by curiosity and desire to see a great big world out there, I took a bold step and left Indonesia to pursue higher education in Australia. I received invaluable lessons in adaptability, resilience, and appreciation of different cultures. This became a transformative experience that allowed me to stretch my boundaries and limits, fostering a sense of self-reliance, independence, and multiculturalism.

Growing up, I always had an inclination towards quantitative subjects. I was fascinated by the opportunities it brings to explore and understand the fundamentals of running a business, which ultimately led to me pursuing a career in accounting and finance. What I appreciate most about these fields are the firm principles they entail. It isn't just philosophising in the abstract – you get to put your ideas to the test and see if they work. The numbers are the numbers, and they don't lie. This truly is a meritorious field. And, that is what I love about finance.

I began my career in corporate finance as a Fund Accountant. Being able to have a direct impact on the financial performance of the company was an eye-opening experience. This role not only taught me how to manage money strategically, but also strengthened my analytical skills and helped me to grow my career and make an impact.

Technology innovation always excites me. I had a fascinating experience when searching for groceries while travelling to Europe. Upon discovering Amazon Fresh, I discovered that I could shop for all of my groceries by choosing my items, walking out, and not having to worry about payment – it would automatically charge my credit card. This seemingly small interaction reminded me how great technology is designed to help people and make people's lives easier.

EVP gives me exposure into both passions; finance and technology. Not only am I able to stay up-to-date on the latest technology trends, but I get to keep at the forefront of the ever-changing business landscape as well. My role as the Finance and Operations Associate surrounds me with passionate and motivated individuals who share a fresh perspective and energy.

My motto in life is to take risks, try new things, and step outside of my comfort zone. The difference between success and failure often comes down to getting up one more time. Most importantly, I learned to never take any part of my life or my surroundings for granted.

Outside of work, I like to visit museums and exhibitions – it helps to keep me inspired and appreciate the work of others. I also enjoy singing and have performed in Opera House with my former young adult’s choir. Through music, I am able to bring joy and happiness to those around me. These activities help keep me balanced, and allow me to step away from the pressures of work.
